Healthy relationship signs
A practical framework for respect, boundaries, conflict and independence.
Respect survives disagreement
Healthy partners can disagree without humiliation, threats, stalking, punishment or forced intimacy. Both people can say no, ask questions and retain their own friends, studies, work and privacy.
Boundaries are not control
A boundary explains what you will or will not accept. Control dictates another person’s clothes, contacts, location, passwords or body. Jealousy is an emotion—not proof of love and not permission to monitor someone.
Repair requires action
An apology matters only when behaviour changes. Repeated harm followed by affection is not the same as repair. Keep trusted people in your life and seek support if you feel afraid or trapped.
Keep these three points
What to remember
- ✓Respect includes the right to say no.
- ✓Control and surveillance are warning signs.
- ✓Repeated harm is not repaired by words alone.
